About Us

NAPM Columbus, Inc. is a non-profit professional organization open
to all persons involved in the purchasing or supply management areas.
NAPM Columbus is affiliated with the Institute of Supply Management.

The Institute of Supply Management (ISM) is a non-profit association providing national and international leadership in purchasing, supply management and research in education.

ISM has more than 42,000 members among 179 affiliates covering 12 districts in the United States & Puerto Rico.


The National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM) was a name used by ISM for 32 years. NAPM Columbus was founded in 1915, the same year as the national organization. N. O. Aebey served as our Columbus affiliate's first president.

Our Columbus association places a strong emphasis on professionalism. Its goals are aimed at providing leadership and education for professional development in today's competitive world economy. Purchasing professionals from the industrial, service, and institutional sectors benefit from their membership in NAPM Columbus.
